Dynalectric San Diego provided design-build services for this new 162,00- square-foot bachelors living quarters at Naval Base Coronado. Two, seven-story structures were built, containing 264 living modules for military personnel, constructed around a single-story community center.
The project required significant preconstruction from our team, including BIM and total station solutions for coordination and layout, as well as prefabrication. The project was certified LEED Gold and designated as the “Project of the Year” by the San Diego Chapter of the American Public works Association.
The client needed an electrical contractor familiar with both military campuses and LEED standards to serve as a design-build partner for this project.
Our scope of work included:

- Electrical distribution and branch wiring
- Fire alarm and mass notification system
- Telephone and data
- Community antenna television system
- Utility control system
