Value Delivered

Dynalectric San Diego provided design-assist services for the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Support Facility P-499 project, which required the conversion of an existing 64,305 square foot, single-story automated warehouse building into a 152,137 square foot, two-story office space with a partial mezzanine.

Preconstruction services, BIM, and prefabrication were integral components in this process due to the multiple unique systems that were integrated within the facility. In addition, the telecommunication systems were of two different classifications: classified communications and non-secure communications. These systems were separated to help ensure proper protection of information.

The expanded facility will be used for LCS operational support, and is home to P-499 administration personnel, support personnel, watch support, and communication services.
