Dynalectric San Diego provided preconstruction, BIM, and total electrical and low voltage construction services for a new five story, 85,000 square foot, Engineering and Interdisciplinary Science Building at San Diego State University.

The building bridges science, mathematics, and entrepreneurship and houses 17 research facilities, open workspaces, and cutting-edge classrooms focused on creating collaboration in all studies. Our team utilized prefabrication to meet the schedule and reduce the amount of material stored on site. The building is designed to achieve LEED certification.

Our scope of work included:

  • Total electrical
  • High and low voltage systems - including tie-in to existing campus systems
  • Fire alarm and life safety
  • Communications (telephone and data) – including tie-in to existing campus systems
  • Security/closed circuit television
  • Audio and video networking
  • LEED certification
