Value Delivered

Dynalectric San Diego provided design-build electrical services for this 180,000 square foot, four story project. The building consists of four floors of classrooms, laboratory spaces, and offices for the biology, chemistry, mathematics, and physical sciences departments, as well as several faculty/student interaction areas.

3D BIM and total station (a surveying tool that provides GPS location within the project for dimensionally sensitive installations) were used throughout the construction process.

Special planning was required to mitigate construction impacts on the students, visitors, faculty and staff, and the nearby community neighbors throughout the project.

The building also included numerous sustainable features, including optimization of natural daylight, utilization of high performance, low-E glazing (resulting in reduced energy usage), and the use of cool roof materials which will reflect unwanted heat energy to reduce the load on the air conditioning system.
