EMCOR/Dynalectric San Diego, UC San Diego Health System, and Kitchell joined forces on September 30 to form a 650 person Pink Hard Hat Ribbon---the largest human ribbon formed in California---and kick-off for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and call to action for EMCOR’s ‘Protect Yourself. Get Screened Today.’ campaign. As part of the event, an official EMCOR Pink Hard Hat presentation made by EMCOR/Dynalectric San Diego to UC San Diego Health System.

La Jolla, CA, September 30, 2014 – EMCOR/Dynalectric San Diego today announced its employees, and those of UC San Diego Health System, Kitchell, and more—650 people in all--donned EMCOR Pink Hard Hats and formed a giant human ribbon in a "Call to Action" supporting breast cancer awareness, part of EMCOR's "Protect Yourself. Get Screened Today.” Campaign. Today’s Pink Hard Hat Ribbon---EMCOR’s signature event---was the largest formed to date, and launched EMCOR’s 2014 Program. The event was held at UC San Diego Jacobs Medical Center.

In 6 cities coast-to-coast, employees and clients will be wearing EMCOR Pink Hard Hats and forming huge human Pink Hard Hat ribbons, creating powerful "Calls to Action" for the importance of breast cancer screening.  Upcoming events will take place at:

•    Alexandria Center for Life Science-NYC in New York, NY, October 7
•    Elkhart General Hospital in Elkhart, IN, October 9
•    Yale Smilow Cancer Center in New Haven, CT, October 15
•    EMCOR Customer Solutions Center in Phoenix, AZ, October 22

This year’s EMCOR Pink Hard Hat Ribbon signature events feature the largest ribbons to date. Additionally, thousands of EMCOR employees across the U.S. are wearing EMCOR Pink Hard Hats at scores of construction sites, ranging from hospitals, roadways, malls, and high tech companies, to universities, military bases, and hotels.

A “multiplier effect” will continue when thousands of passersby to EMCOR’s jobsites will see the Pink Hard Hats and when EMCOR employees will take the Pink Hard Hats home each night and be seen by spouses, daughters, sisters, neighbors. Also, EMCOR’s 7,000+ service vehicles will carry Pink Hard Hat posters with the “Protect Yourself. Get Screened Today” Message, reaching millions of people throughout October.
