SCOPE OF WORK

The Qualcomm Project consists of four parts; a Data Center, Central Plant, Parking Structure, Labs & Offices.  The Central plant consists of (1) 4.6 megawatt cogeneration, (3) 2.7 megawatt diesel generators, (2) 1.6 megawatt UPS, (1) 1 megawatt UPS and (2) 600 kilowatt UPS. The Central Plant provides 12kv distribution of normal and emergency power to the campus. In addition the Central Plant has four 860 Ton electric chillers and one 1150 Ton steam absorption chiller that provide the cooling for the Data Center and balance of the campus.  This facility will be utilized for Qualcomm’s development of cellular technologies, it is considered to be the Qualcomm’s core business.  Therefore they are requiring that the facility be taken to N plus 1 of reliability for the power and cooling.
